The 13th addition of the Windy City Pole Vault Summit, hosted by Rolling Meadows H.S., looks to be another outstanding gathering of the states most elite vaulters.  March 8th at 4pm is when this pole vault only meet will get under way.

The list of athletes vaulting will be a who's who of Illinois vaulters.  There will be two returning state champions on the men's side, while the girls side will have most of the top returners looking to jump high!

Luke Winder (Central HS, Plainfield), currently ranked #3 in the nation, will look to improve on his 17'00.75" jump from mid February.  Mick Viken's (2009 PV State Champ from Rolling Meadows) fieldhouse and Summit record could be in serious trouble if Winder is feeling good.

Other top vaulters to watch will be Chase Black (Charleston HS), Steven Bradford (Bloomington HS), 2013 1A Champion Adam Coulon (Tri-Valley HS, Downs)) and Riley Smith (Westfield HS, Casey).  Keep an eye on Anthony Mazzola (Jefferson HS, Rockford) and Adam Peterson (Neuqua Valley HS, Naperville) to get some big jumps in as well.

The women's side will be a mix of returning All-Staters who are looking to establish themselves as the front runner for the State Championship.  Lindsay Murray (Harrisburg HS) is ranked #17 in the nation. She looks to be the leader at this time with her 12'06" vault from mid January.  Brooke Catherine (Normal Community HS), ranked #27 in the nation, will be close behind Murray.  After those two there are a slew of vaulters in the 11' to 11'10" range.  It should be exciting to see where everyone ends up!

If you are looking for a fun and FREE event to fill your Saturday evening, stop by Rolling Meadows High School's fieldhouse at about 4pm.
